Inland M1A1 Paratrooper semi automatic carbine in .30 Carbine. Made in the second run, circa May-June 1944. This gun was rebuilt post-War. Barrel is Inland marked, and dated "7-44". No import marks found. Slide is Winchester marked. Bolt is IBM. Trigger group is Inland marked. Post-War adjustable rear sight and front band with bayonet lug. Inland subcontractor hand guard. There is a boxed "RIA/EB" rebuild cartouche on the left side of the stock. Circled "P" firing proof on the left side of the pistol grip. Correct forge markings on the metal butt plate. The springs on the butt plate are absent. Original parkerized finish on the metal components. Includes Underwood marked 15 round blued steel magazine, and period green canvas sling. CONDITION: Metal retains 80% of its parkerized finish. Wood has handling marks and scratches. Leather check piece has scratches on the left side. Bore is frosted with good overall rifling. Magazine has light wear. JWA
