Springfield M1 Garand semi automatic rifle with bayonet. Made April 1943. Proper "4-43" dated barrel with no import marks. Faint circled "P" firing proof on the wrist. Springfield marked operating rod and bolt. Trigger group is Winchester World War II production. Blade front sight and adjustable peep rear. Original parkerized finish. Oiled wood stock and hand guards, with no markings. Checkered metal butt plate with trapdoor for cleaning kit. Includes attached green canvas sling. Also included is a "1943" dated, "AFH" marked (American Fork And Hoe), bayonet and scabbard. CONDITION: Metal retains 90% of its original finish with general wear. Stock has a few minor handling marks. Bore is lightly frosted, but retains strong rifling. Muzzle gauges at a "3", throat at a "0". Mechanically fine. Sling is excellent. Bayonet is very good overall, having a light brown patina finish on the handle/hilt. Blade was lightly sharpened at some point. Brown grips have minor handling marks. JWA
