Manufactured in July of 1943 according to the barrel date code with "484542" serial number falling in the middle of the first block of World War II production. Brushed blue military finish. Cylinder choked 20" barrel marked near breech "U.S." with flaming bomb and fitted with simple bead front sight. Left side of receiver also marked with "U.S." and flaming bomb proof. Plain oil finished walnut pistol grip stock with serrated composite Remington butt plate and matching plain forend. Stock stamped on left with cross cannons and "FJA" inspection stamps. Grip also stamped "CD". CONDITION: Very good. Vast majority of he factory applied blued finish is retained with some areas of light thinning and a few scattered marks. Stocks are very good showing some light impressions. Mirror bore. Mechanically fine with little evidence of being fired. A fine WWII riot gun! BAS
