Made circa 1895. Standard markings on the receiver. This was a rifle cut down to carbine length at some point. Blade front sight and 1902 type rear sight with flip up peep aperture. Original blued finish with a light lacquer over it. Wood has a light oil finish. There is a saddle ring base on the left side of the stock. Smooth metal butt plate with trapdoor for a butt plate. CONDITION: Metal retains 60% of its applied finishes, with general wear and brown patina forming. Stock has handling marks and scratches. Bore is frosted, retaining strong rifling. Mechanically fine.
