Circa 1960s aluminum desk model of a Trans World Airlines Lockheed 749A-79 Constellation. Production of the L-749 started in 1947 with TWA being the largest customer which had ordered 26 L-749As for their fleet. Constructed of aluminum, the fuselage is decaled, painted, and lacquered to represent one of TWA's Constellations. The N-Number "N6002C" is present on the tail and wing. According to the FAA Aircraft Inquiry, this aircraft was previously registered to Aviation Development Corp in Florida before being registered to TWA in the 1960s therefore dating this model. The Constellation is mounted on a matching aluminum base which is painted with the TWA logo. Propellers are of clear plastic simulating rotation. The model is unmarked and measures approximately 10 - 1/2" tall with a 20" wingspan. Decals exhibit wear and exhibit loss in some areas but remain legible. Scattered chips in the paint with one crack on the right stabilizer. The plane is secured to the stand by a screw which is loose and causes the Constellation to rest at an angle and rotate when handled. Overall good.

Condition: (Good).
