Early 1950s desk model of an American Airlines Boeing 377 Stratocruiser "Flagship Washington". Developed from the C-97 Stratofreighter transport, itself a derivative of the B-29 Superfortress, the Boeing 377 Stratocruiser was a very popular airliner which was introduced to American Airlines and their competitors in the late 1940s. Constructed of aluminum, this model is painted and decaled to reflect the American Airlines Stratocruiser "Flagship Washington" and is mounted on an aluminum base. The model is unmarked and measures approximately 10" tall with a 21 - 1/2" wingspan. The fuselage features indented simulated windows, and the wings are removable for storage. The model retains all 4 of its aluminum propellers. Decals remain somewhat legible but exhibit significant wear. lacquered finish also exhibits fading. Right horizontal stabilizer is cracked and loose. Model and base exhibit scattered chips, scuffs and scratches as well as areas of corrosion.

Condition: (Good).
