Model of a Boeing 247 table light that was manufactured in 1933 by the A. C. Rehberger Corporation, Chicago, USA and is marked as such underneath the base. These table lights were used in Travel Agents and Hotel lobbies to promote air travel by a particular Airline. This example features United Airlines decals and the N-Number reflects a Boeing 247D which was manufactured in 1943. The model is finely detailed and even features functioning retractable landing gear. The plane is constructed of pot metal while the base is steel. The plane is also mounted on a metal ball bearing which allows the model to be tilted as if it were flying. The bearing is stiff but functions. The table light measures approximately 18" tall with a 22 - 1/2" wingspan. The plane exhibits finish loss and dark spots from age. Some antennas are missing. Some decals exhibit wear but most are well preserved. Propellers rotate. The base exhibits surface rust and corrosion. Light was not teste, as the switch is heavily corroded. This table light is still a nice Art Deco aviation piece. Overall good.

Condition: (Good).

Item Dimensions: 16" x 23" x 18".
