U.S. M-1 Carbine made by Winchester Repeating Arms Company between October 1942 and December 1943. 18" military finished round barrel with correct "W" proof, "(Flaming Bomb) / W.R.A." mark and dated "12-42", milled "L" marked front sight, correct unmarked barrel band, and correct rear flip sight. All internal parts consistent with Winchester production. Winchester action with "W" marked blued flat bolt, Winchester trigger group with semi-circle mark and correct internals. Uncut Walnut high wood "I" cut Winchester marked stock with G.H.D., W.R.A., and crossed cannons inspector marks. Stock is marked with "P" in circle proof, rack number "B 178" and a former user's name of "W.T. JOHNSON". Correct 2 rivet handguard with correct "W" marking inside. Appears to be all Winchester with 2-piece internal spring tube. Comes with vintage sling, oiler and 15 round "BW" marked flat bottom magazine. CONDITION: Overall good with wood having been cleaned and a small chip missing by access for the oiler. Good mechanics with good bore and a ME of 1. DLM
