This is a highly sought-after sign, stamped "R. H. Cate & Co. Distillers / Knoxville, Tenn." It shows old homemade distillery in the woods, with the older gentleman making the whiskey. Also shows old wooden whiskey barrels, one labeled "Freestone Hand Made Sour Mash Tennessee Whiskey". The sign is stamped in the lower left-hand corner "Copyrighted 1905 by R. H. Cate & Co. Knoxville, Tenn.". This sign shows well and has bright, strong color and highly detailed graphics. It has had a full and very well done professional restoration at some time in its life.
