Lot consists of: (A) French Model 1866 Chassepot bayonet properly marked and dated "1867" on the spine. Complete with scabbard. CONDITION: Blade exhibits a gray patina with areas of spotting and pitting. Scabbard also features spotting and pitting. Overall good. (B) French Model 1874 bayonet properly marked and dated "1878" on the spine. Numbered and proof marked on the guard. Missing scabbard. CONDITION: Gray patina with scattered pitting and spotting. Scattered blemishes throughout. Overall fair. (C) French Model 1874 bayonet properly marked and dated "1876" on the spine. Numbered and proof marked on the guard. Complete with scabbard. CONDITION: Bright blade, scabbard exhibits scattered blemishes. Overall very good. (D) French Model 1874 bayonet properly marked and dated "1879" on the spine. Numbered and proof marked on the guard. Complete with scabbard. CONDITION: Gray patina on blade, rust around guard and scabbard. Overall fair. (E) 5 Model 1873 45-70 Trapdoor bayonets. 4 have scabbards. Scabbards are marked "U.S.", "MASS", "N.G.P", and 1 is plain. There is 1 bayonet without the scabbard that is marked "US" with a nicely blued blade. CONDITION: Fair to Good. (F) Swiss Vetterli bayonet. CONDITION: Overall good. JLD
