U.S. M-1 Carbine made by National Postal Meter between September of 1943 and November of 1943. 18" "MARLIN" marked barrel with "P" stamping. Post-War arsenal rebuilt rifle with "N-N" marked milled front sight, Type III rear sight, with 3 weld scar "UI" marked front band. "W" marked trigger group with mixed parts, later flip safety, and M-2 style magazine release. Recoil shield marked with "P-LW". "W" marked slide with "N-14" marked flat bolt. Walnut oval cut high-wood stock with no markings and no cut for M-2. Walnut 2-rivet top wood marked with "A". Comes with "ABT" dated 1960 M4 Style bayonet, 11 15-round magazines with some in wrapping, green woven 2-magazine pouch, and black leather 2-magazine pouch. Missing sling and oiler. CONDITION: Overall good with 90%+ arsenal finish on metal remaining. Stock has been lightly cleaned and heavily oiled with light handling marks. Good bore with ME of 2 with good mechanics. A great looking carbine and nearly World War II correct. DLM
