U.S. M-1 Carbine manufactured by Standard Products between April of 1943 and May of 1944. 18" IBM Corp barrel dated "11-43" with Flaming Bomb. Post-War arsenal rebuilt rifle, most likely for use in Austria, with "N" marked milled front sight, Type III rear sight, and bayonet style "AI" marked front band. Trigger guard marked "LGKOO/6438" which stands for "LANDES GENDARMERIE KOMMANDO OBER OSTERRIECH" and number is a rack number. Inland marked trigger group with mixed parts, later flip safety, and M-2 style magazine release. Recoil shield marked with "W". "PI" marked slide well with "IO" flat style bolt. Walnut oval cut low-wood stock marked with "IO" in sling well, uncut for M-2, with "AAK" rebuild mark and "P" grip mark. Walnut 2-rivet top wood marked with last 2 digits of serial number of gun. Comes with leather sling and CMP Authenticity Paper. CONDITION: Overall good with 90%+ arsenal finish on metal remaining. Stock has been lightly cleaned with light handling marks. Good bore with ME of 2 with good mechanics. A great looking carbine. DLM
