U.S. M-1 Carbine manufactured by National Postal Meter between November of 1943 and June of 1944. 18" "UNDERWOOD" marked barrel dated "11-43" with Flaming Bomb. Post-War arsenal rebuilt rifle with "SI-B" marked milled front sight, Type III rear sight, and bayonet style "JMQ" marked front band. "W" marked trigger group with mixed parts, later flip safety, and M-2 style magazine release. Recoil shield marked with "IO". "SG" marked slide with "SG" marked flat bolt. Walnut oval cut low-wood stock with no markings, cut for M-2. Walnut 2-rivet top wood marked with "S-HB". Comes with 15 round double "U" marked flat bottom magazine. CONDITION: Overall good with 90%+ arsenal finish on metal remaining. Stock has been lightly cleaned with light handling marks. Good bore with ME of 2 with good mechanics. A great looking carbine. DLM
