U.S. M-1 Carbine made by Inland Division of General Motors between August of 1944 and November of 1944. 18" blued "INLAND MFG DIV. OF GENERAL MOTORS" marked barrel dated "11-44". Arsenal post-War rebuilt rifle, most likely for use in Austria with "N" marked milled front sight, Type III rear sight, and bayonet style "MMQ" marked front band. Trigger guard marked "LGKOO / 1439" which stands for "LANDES GENDARMERIE KOMMANDO OBER OSTERRIECH" and a rack number. "S" marked trigger group with mixed parts, later flip safety, and M-2 style magazine release. Recoil shield marked with "SG". Mixed internal parts with round bolt. Walnut oval cut low-wood stock marked with "IR" in sling well and uncut for M-2. Walnut 2-rivet top wood marked with the number 3 and "TN". Comes with leather sling and CMP Authenticity Paper. CONDITION: Overall good with 90%+ arsenal finish on metal remaining. Stock has been lightly cleaned with light handling marks. Good bore with ME of 2 with good mechanics. A great looking carbine. DLM
