U.S. M-1 Carbine made by Saginaw Steering Gear Division of General Motors between May of 1943 and March of 1944. 18" "INLAND MFG. DIV. OF GENERAL MOTORS" marked barrel dated 5-44. Arsenal post-War rebuilt rifle with "R" marked milled front sight, Type III rear sight marked "J.A.O.", and bayonet style "AI" marked front band. Correct "SG" marked trigger group with mixed parts, later flip safety, and M-2 style magazine release. Recoil shield marked with "PJ". Correct "SG" marked flat bolt with incorrect "J-(?)" marked slide. Walnut oval cut low-wood stock marked "IR" with Flaming Bomb in sling well, "P" proof on grip, and uncut for M-2. Walnut 2-rivet top wood with no markings. Comes with "BW" marked 15 round flat bottom magazine. CONDITION: Overall good with 90%+ arsenal finish on metal remaining. Stock has been lightly cleaned with light handling marks. Good bore with ME of 2 with good mechanics. A great looking carbine. DLM
