U.S. M-1A1 Paratrooper Carbine made by Inland Division of General Motors between late October of 1942 and December of 1943. 18" "INLAND MFG. DIV. GENERAL MOTORS" marked barrel dated "1-43". Arsenal post-War rebuilt rifle with "N" marked milled front sight, Type III rear sight, and bayonet style "MMQ" marked front band. "INLAND" marked trigger group with correct period Inland parts, push button safety, and old style magazine release. "PI" marked slide with "IO" marked flat bolt. Walnut "IO" marked oval cut low-wood stock with "AAS" rebuild markings, no cut for M-2, and rear "P" stamping. Walnut 2-rivet top wood marked with "IO". Fatboy "IO" marked grip with correct leather-and-brass riveted folding skeleton stock with correct cast buttplate. Comes with "U.S./ HARIAN 44" marked case and green woven sling. CONDITION: Overall good with 90%+ arsenal finish on metal remaining. Stock has been lightly cleaned with light handling marks. Good bore with ME of 2 with good mechanics. A great looking carbine just rebuilt after the war with mostly correct parts. DLM
