Type E-3 Trainer manufactured by Mac Glashan Air Machine Gun Corp. of Long Beach, California. Simulating a 1919A4 machine gun, the Type E-3 was utilized for for aerial gunnery training from 1941 until the conclusion of World War II. The left side of the receiver bears a data plate stipulating the model, serial number, specification number, etc. Metal components are blued, while the spade grips are comprised of wood. Original cord is present. This example is listed in the macglashanbbgun.com's registry. CONDITION: Metal components retain the majority of their factory applied blue finish, exhibiting scattered marks from handling and storage, as well as areas of surface oxidation present overall. Wood grips are very good. Power cord exhibits age related cracking and some tears. A nice example of a rare BB machine gun trainer, utilized throughout the United States involvement in World War II.
