Manufactured 1977 as per HH date code on left side of magazine well. Classic configuration including protected post front sight, 4 position diopter drum rear sight, flash hider, wide forearm, A3 telescoping stock, composite furniture. Left side of magazine well marked "HK 93 A120755 / CAL. .223 / (German Nitro Proof) HH (Ulm Proof)". Right side of magazine well with "Made in Germany / excl. for SACO / Arl. Va. 22 209 / Kal. .223". Barrel with HK date code for 1979, German proof mark. Bolt carrier marked "HK 1/77" on top, bolt head with a German Nitro proof. In the original HK cardboard shipping box, shipping from H&K's Kenmore address to Rappahannock Products, Rappahannock, Virginia, and containing a leather sling, bipod, manual, original HK receipt, a 40 round magazine, and a 20 round magazine. CONDITION: Very fine overall showing just the barest marks from careful handling, probably shop wear. Composite parts are excellent with a few very minor handling marks. Mechanically fine, bore is excellent, bright and shiny, with crisp rifling. Box has expected age distress, peeling and a few tears to apron but overall strong. Accessories are excellent, commensurate with rifle, excepting the sling which has some age residue on it. A really great example for the discerning HK collector. EMW
