Manufactured circa 1938 to 1940 as a deluxe BB gun styled after a side by side sporting shotgun. Blued stamped steel construction with light engraving including scroll borders, 2 vignettes featuring hunting dogs, and 2 vignettes of quail. 96 shot repeating action firing out of both barrels. Action is cycled by breaking the gun open like a sporting double. Plain hardwood stock and matching wood forend. CONDITION: Good. The majority of the original blued finish is retained with some areas wearing and turning to a brown patina with some light scratches and dents. Stocks have some expected dings and wear, with a stable split at the wrist and a chip at the tang. A great American BB gun difficult to find in any condition. BAS
