German WWII Luftwaffe M40 single decal helmet marked "ET66" for the maker of "Eisenhuttenwerke Thale", in a shell size of 66, with a lot number of "5055". Shell retains 50-55% of its original blue-gray paint, with scrapes and heavy freckling. Interior retains approximately 60% of its blue-gray finish, with the remaining areas freckled and dirty. Luftwaffe decal is in approximately 30% condition with a faint coat of lacquer. Aluminum liner assembly is a replacement, and the red brown leather liner appears to be a postwar Norwegian example. Liner is wrinkled with moderate wear and a tongue has been glue repaired. A drawstring is present, but the chinstrap is not. CONDITION: Overall good. WEZ
