M-1 Carbine built by Inland Division of General Motors between May 1942 and December 0f 1942. 18" Underwood barrel with Flaming bomb and dated "3-44". Gun could be a parts clean up gun since receiver falls in serial number 700000 to 900000, is marked with an "S.G" indicating Saginaw manufactured receiver, and Underwood is not listed as a barrel contractor for Inland. Inland marked stamped trigger group with push button safety and early magazine release. Round "AOB" marked bolt with "PI" marked slide. Arsenal rebuild parkerized finish with late style rear sight and bayonet style front sling lug. Walnut stock cut for M-2 switch with "J" in sling well. Walnut 2-rivet top wood with no markings. Comes with reproduction woven green sling, oiler and "U" marked 15 round detachable magazine. CONDITION: 90% of arsenal metal finish with added varnish on wood with handling marks and dings. Good bore with ME of 1 with good mechanics.
