M1 Carbine manufactured at the Inland Division arsenal between September of 1943 to January of 1944. Receiver bears typical markings over the chamber with "INLAND DIV." above the serial number, present on the rear of the receiver. Barrel is stamped "INLAND MFG. DIV./ GENERAL MOTORS/ 10-43". Right side of trigger housing bears a vertical Inland stamp. Right side of stock bears an Inland ordnance wheel stamp, with the left side exhibiting "UH" within the sling slot. Highwood stock with 2-rivet "IO" marked upper handguard. Major metal components are parkerized, while the bolt is blued. Front sight "ears" have been shaved off. Rifle is mounted with a period green canvas web sling. CONDITION: Metal components retain the majority of their arsenal applied parkerized finish, exhibiting some areas of edge wear, as well as areas of oxidation present on the bolt and the left side of the barrel. Brilliant mirror bore, exhibiting well defined rifling throughout (ME: 1). Stock exhibits some scattered superficial marks from storage and handling, but is otherwise fine.
