U.S. M-1 Carbine made by Underwood between November 1942 and July 1943. 18" "UNDERWOOD" marked barrel dated "6-44" with standard military front sight and later rear adjustable sight. Barrel has added flash suppressor. Carbine has undergone rebuild with correct but mixed internal rebuild parts. Walnut uncut for M-2 stock with "AN" (Anniston Arsenal) stock rebuild stamp and SA bayonet marking. "HI" marked walnut 4 rivet topwood. Comes with 15 round "UN" marked flat bottom magazine and period G.I. woven sling. CONDITION: 90% original arsenal finish with light carry wear. Wood has usage marks and dings with cleaned surface and sharp markings. Good bore with ME of 0 and good crisp mechanics.
