Outstanding “US” marked specimen of the Maremont M60 machine gun in classic military configuration. Top of receiver is marked “MACHINE GUN / 7.62 MM M60 / NEW ENGLAND GROUP / MAREMONT CORP. / U.S.” For the would-be purchaser of this model, it needs no introduction. The Maremont M-60 has a renown reputation. It is a “must have” for the late 20th century U.S. machine gun collector/enthusiast. Electronic registry indicates simply “US” as the manufacturer. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is near excellent original finish with some loss of finish in the feedway of the feed tray, and with a slight loss of finish at a couple points where the top cover meets the receiver. Composite parts finish near excellent. Bore is near excellent, shiny and bright. Bolt face is near excellent. Mechanics are crisp. This is a full-auto only machine gun.
