Circa 1985. A Belgium made safari double rifle with 26 - 1/4" chopper lump black nitro proof barrels. Barrels are fit with ejectors, matte filed raised spearpoint rib, and raised spearpoint bladed front sight with muted silver tip. Rear of spearpoint rib with 1 standing and 2 folding fire blued leaf sights. Right barrel reads "Katsener Cie Santa Monica Ca.", Left barrel reads "Constantine V Deluxe". Bottom of left barrel reads ".375 HH MAGNUM" with proofs and bottom of right barrel stamped "ALAR" (in oval), "095"(serial number),"MAGI", "BELGIUM", "3700 BAR", with proofs. Bottom rib with eye for sling loop. Bolstered case color hardened sidelock action with cocking indicators is fit with set disk strikers, third fastener, Holland & Holland styled hand detachment lever, blacked, engraved, and checkered top lever, blacked, scroll engraved, and checkered safety slide, nitre blued double triggers (front articulated). The case colored action is adorned with tight scrolls and signed by "C. Thys" on right side of triggers. Handsome European walnut stock with smoky marbling is furnished with a long top strap, beaded cheekpiece, finely checkered pistol hand grip, eye for sling loop, and checkered butt. Pistol grip with blacked engraved grip cap. Double triggers are protected by a blacked and scroll engraved guard which extends to a long bottom strap. Safe is marked by a gold "S"; rifle is non-auto safe. The wide splinter forend has matched tight checkering and a blacked, scroll engraved, and checkered latch release. Exterior iron metal is blacked and scroll engraved; inner is coin finished with "095" stamped for serial number. Rifle is housed in a brown pebble grained leather case with black and gold "London Guns Ltd." leather trade label along with a spare foresight and case key. CONDITION: Excellent with minor handling marks. Barrels retain mostly all of their original color and rifling is sharp. Action, triggers, and ejectors are excellent. Stock is very good with minor handling marks. Forend is excellent. Very nice rifle.
