Lot consists of: (A) World War II front seam swivel bale helmet with liner and USMC first pattern herringbone camouflage cover. The helmet exhibits a post-War "Marine Green" repaint which is not only reflected on the shell but the upper portions of the chinstrap. The heat stamp is partially obscured by the repaint but appears to read "858". The first pattern cover is in standard configuration and features a black EGA stamp on the front. There is controversy around these EGA cover stamps, but it is mostly believed that they were applied post-War and used by Marines during the Korean War. The helmet is complete with its liner which is marked with the International Molded Plastics Co logo. CONDITION: The helmet exhibits various blemishes including surface rust on the interior. First Pattern cover exhibits tears, especially around the edges, as well as color fading. Liner retains most of its original green paint, interior hardware is salty, with metal components exhibiting oxidation, sweatband cracked and ripped, and various blemishes on the canvas components. Overall good. (B) US M1917 revolver holster marked "G. 7 K. / 1918 / A.C." on the reverse. CONDITION: US oval exhibits wear, bottom piece has separated, and there are various blemishes, including creases, light cracks, and verdigris. Overall good. (C) WWII Japanese Army tropical tunic constructed of heavy cotton canvas and stamped by field censor twice on the interior to be sent home as a souvenir. The jacket retains all of its original wood buttons and comes with a pair of PFC collar tab insignia which was found in the upper left pocket. CONDITION: Censor stamps exhibit fading, tunic is well preserved with scattered blemishes. Overall very good. JLD
