Beginning manufacture in 1969, Steyr's MPi 69 submachine gun remained in active production until 1990, where it was superseded by Steyr's TMP machine pistol. This example is stamped "STEYR-DAIMLER-PUCH A.G./ MADE IN AUSTRIA" followed by the Steyr logo, as well as an "L.E.S./ SKOKIE. ILL." import stamp. Metal components exhibit a parkerized finish, while the trigger/lower assembly is comprised of grooved black polymer. Additional features include a uniquely designed charging handle (which doubles as a sling loop), collapsible wire buttstock, post front sight, as well as a "L" flip peep sight with graduations at 100 and 200 meters. All numbers are matching and include the receiver, polymer lower assembly, barrel, barrel nut, as well as the bolt. NFA Registry lists "IMPORTED NFA FIREARM" in the manufacturer block. CONDITION: Very good overall, with metal components retaining the majority of their original factory parkerized finish, exhibiting some spots of mild wear from operation, as well as some superficial marks from handling and storage. Brilliant mirror bore, exhibiting sharp and well defined lands and grooves throughout. Lower assembly shows some light superficial marks and is otherwise fine. A very attractive example of a desirable Steyr MPi 69 submachine gun. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER. THIS ITEM IS TRANSFERABLE ONLY TO ACTIVE FFL/SOT DEALERS ON AN ATF FORM 3 BUT MAY BE RETAINED BY SOLE PROPRIETOR FFL/SOT HOLDERS WHEN THEY RELINQUISH THEIR LICENSES UPON BATF APPROVAL.
