Reising Model 50 manufactured by Harrington & Richardson. The Reising Model 50 found notable success during the 1940s, especially after America's entry into World War II, seeing significant use with Marines in the Pacific Theater, as well as with guard and police units during and after the war. The top of the receiver bears the model and caliber designations above Harrington & Richardson's manufacturer information, while the right side bears the serial number followed by the safety selector markings. Metal components are blued, while the stock is comprised of solid wood. Stock is mounted with a period brown leather sling. Electronic NFA registry indicates "HARRINGTON AND RICHARDSON" as the manufacturer. CONDITION: Metal components retain the vast majority of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting some mild superficial marks from handling and storage, as well as some spots of very light pitting on the top of the receiver. Brilliant mirror bore, exhibiting strong rifling throughout. Stock shows some mild marks and impressions, but is otherwise fine. A very nice example of a popular entry level .45 ACP submachine gun. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER. THIS ITEM IS FULLY TRANSFERABLE ON AN ATF FORM 3 OR 4 AS CURIO & RELIC ELIGIBLE.
