Johnson Model 1941 manufactured by Cranston Arms of Rhode Island. The top of the receiver bears stampings stipulating the patent information, manufacturer information, caliber designation, and model designation above the serial number. Metal components have been refinished, exhibiting a high polish blued finish, with the buttstock replaced with a Monte Carlo pattern stock and the wood furniture revarnished. Barrel has been modified, with the front sight and bayonet lug removed and replaced with a "C.A. DAHL" ramp brass bead front sight. This example is accompanied by an original 7x57mm Mauser Chilean contract parkerized barrel, bayonet, and a reproduction leather scabbard. CONDITION: Metal components retain the vast majority of their reapplied blue finish, exhibiting few superficial marks from storage and handling overall. Mirror bore, exhibiting strong rifling throughout. Wood furniture shows some scattered nicks and minor dings from handling and storage but is otherwise fine. 7mm barrel is bright and retains strong rifling throughout.
