Type 56S manufactured at Arsenal 66 in China for commercial sales abroad. The left side of the receiver is stamped with the manufacturer code "66" within a triangle, followed by the model designation and serial number, with the barrel bearing an "IA CO" import stamp. Metal components exhibit a standard Chinese lustrous blue finish, with the furniture comprised of wood. A pistol grip is not present but should be a readily available component to replace. The sling swivel slot on the buttstock has been filled in. All numbers match and include the receiver, receiver cover, mainspring guide rod, bolt carrier, bolt, and gas block, which is properly electro-penciled to match. The butt trap retains its cleaning kit. A cleaning rod is not present. CONDITION: Very good, with metal components retaining the vast majority of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting some scattered superficial marks from handling and storage overall. Mirror bore, well-defined rifling throughout. Wood furniture exhibits some scattered marks from handling and storage but is otherwise fine. The magazine exhibits wear and oxidation but is otherwise serviceable.
