Two painted parfleche envelopes or cases in traditional folded construction. One of the main forms of parfleches were folded envelopes of cured rawhide, decorated with painted geometric designs on the outside.
a) Labeled by the collector as Yakima this case is 14" x 29", painted with loose strokes in geometric patterns.
b) 14" x 28" with bright rawhide and sharp design.
