Double mounted buffalo spurs, featuring a high relief bison head on one side and standing full body bull on the other. Arrow shanks with 10-point 2 - 1/2" rowels, 1 - 1/8" heelbands, and 2 1/2" shanks. As-new condition with basket-weave straps on arrowhead mounted buttons and Ford marked buffalo buckles. Marked inside "R.F. FORD / SAN ANGELO TX. / NO.1228"
The matching Buffalo Bit is marked "R.F. FORD 354" and has a large 2 - 1/2" top with raised buffalo head, 3 buffalo heads across the slobber bar and a complete set of marked Ford hardware on a "Dave Smith / Carlsbad, Texas" headstall. A desirable maker and the condition make this a rare and hard to find set.
