German World War II Heer M35 double decal helmet marked "ET60" for the maker of "Eisenhuettenwerke Thale A.G" and in a shell size of "60", the smallest size made, with a lot number of "4090". The liner is marked "53", the 2nd smallest size. Shell retains approxiimately 75% of its smooth apple green paint, with patina, freckling, scattered marks, and a 1" shallow dent on top. Interior retains approximately 95% smooth apple green finish, with some dust. Heer decal with gold toning is 65-70% with crazing throughout, with the required era coat of lacquer in the undamaged areas, and shows up nicely with a blacklight. Tri-color national decal is in 60-65% condition, also with crazing throughout, and its lacquer. Original early aluminum liner band and 3 rivets are undisturbed. Medium brown liner is intact with staining and moderate rim wear, is complete, untouched, with a size stamp of "53". The name "Marty xxxxx" is penciled on the liner. Original liner drawstring is present. Original chinstrap with aluminum fittings, heavy wear and damage, and perhaps 2" of one side missing (as 1 side of the chinstrap is attached with twisted aluminum wire). CONDITION: Overall very good.
