Lot consists of 2 Imperial German M1915 lobster tail helmets. (A) Maker marked (illegible) and dated "1916", with a black body, gray front plate, spike, and mount, with a black and green painted interior. Cockades appear to be original, while chinstrap is a reproduction. The helmet retains generous amounts of finish with scattered areas of oxidation. Dusty. CONDITION: Good, "out of the woodwork." (B) Maker marked "Herm Weissenburger&cie Cannstatt", no visible date, with a black body, brass front plate, spike, and mount, with a black and green painted interior; all appear original. National Colors cockade appears original, while Prussian cockade and chinstrap are reproductions. Liner is missing. The helmet retains generous amounts of finish with scattered areas of oxidation. Dusty. CONDITION: Good, "out of the woodwork."
