Lot consists of: (A) Imperial German Bavarian officer's pickelhaube. Cockades appear period but were most likely added. Scales appear period. Silvered fluted spike and base. Squared front visor. Brown leather sweatband with deluxe satin liner. Body exhibits dents around spike base. Wear to edges and sweatband. Scattered blemishes throughout. Nice patina. Slightly dusty. CONDITION: Fair. (B) Imperial German pickelhaube with Hessen front plate and added Prussian Guard star. Officer's National Colors cockade and officer's Prussian cockade appears period, as do scales. Spike and base appear original. Brown leather sweatband with tie string. Dated "1916" on rear visor. Plate is loose and is not original as evidenced by old impressions. Body is solid with scattered blemishes. Helmet was made to appear as an officer's pickelhaube. Slightly Dusty. CONDITION: Fair.
