Single Sided Wood Thermometer for Caterpillar Tractors advertising for Virginia Tractor Company, Richmond and Roanoke, Virgina. Possibly the only known example of this unique piece of Tractor advertising. Thermometer is Maker Marked Taylor and features and excellent Tractor graphic at the topside with excellent script throughout. CONDITION: Thermometer is overall excellent showing minor areas of light wear throughout the field giving the piece an excellent patina with no notable damages in the field. Thermometer shows some minor scratches as well as some minimal outer edge wear but overall excellent. Thermometer bulb is intact as well as metal cradle but thermometer doesn't not keep accurate temperature. The outer edges are very clean and overall the piece displays incredibly well. A very unique piece of advertising for Caterpillar.
