Receiver originally manufactured by Springfield Armory circa September 1944. 24" Danish crown over "DK" proofed "VAR" barrel dated 6-57 with standard post-war sights. Unmarked replacement cut op rod, "SA" marked bolt, and "W.R.A." marked trigger group with "SA" parts. Walnut stock with internal Danish tag and the serial number stamped along the toe line. Complete with some stock compartment tools, en bloc clip, web sling, an original cartridge belt, grenade launcher sight with pouch, CMP shipping box, and paperwork. 2004 dated Civilian Marksmanship Program certificate identifies rifle as "M1 Garand Danish Issue", indicating return from post-War service in Denmark. CONDITION: Good. Metal components retain significant portions of thinning arsenal applied parkerized finish. Stock shows heavy use but remains very serviceable with a small repair at the toe. Strong lightly frosted bore with well-defined rifling. ME of 2. TE of 2. Mechanically fine.
