Manufactured circa 1955 by H&R. 24" "HRA" barrel dated "6 55" with standard front protected blade from sight and "HRA" marked post-war aperture rear sight. No visible import marking. "HRA" cut op rod, bolt, and trigger group components. Walnut military stock with encircled "P" firing proof and DOD stamp. Standard hardware. Complete with tool trap inserts, en bloc clips, web sling, M15 grenade launcher sight with pouch, reproduction ammo belt, CMP shipping box, and paperwork. 2005 dated Civilian Marksmanship Program certificate specifies this rifle as an "M1 Garand Collector GK" indicating it is in high condition with all correct parts, and returned from service in Greece. CONDITION: Very good. Metal components retain bountiful amounts of arsenal parkerized finishes with some spots of silvering and protective grease. Stock is especially fine with scattered light impressions. Markings are sharp. Bright and shiny bore with sharp rifling and a few imperfections. ME of 1+. TE of 0. Action does not hold open as greased. Otherwise mechanically fine. A very nice M1.
