Mk4 L2A3 submachine gun assembled from surplus components on a newly manufactured tube receiver by Charles Erb of Fredericktown, Pennsylvania. The left side of the receiver is stamped with the serial number, followed by Charles Erb's bullet logo. Top of magazine housing is stamped with a boxed "STERLING" above "SMG/ 9m/m MK4 (L2A3)" above the former serial number, with patent stampings present on the underside. Metal components exhibit a parkerized finish, with the trigger and trigger guard exhibiting traces of their former black wrinkle finish. Grip is comprised of checkered black polymer. Complete with 1 34-round magazine. NFA Registry indicates "ERB,CHARLES" in the manufacturer block and "MK4" in the model block. CONDITION: Metal components retain the vast majority of their parkerized finish, exhibiting areas of discoloration from heat treatment and some superficial marks from handling and storage. Bore is bright, save for 2 dark rings of pitting towards the muzzle, and retains good rifling throughout. Grip is very good, exhibiting some minor marks from handling and storage. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER. THIS ITEM IS FULLY TRANSFERABLE ON AN ATF FORM 3 OR 4.
