A licensed copy of the Carl Gustaf M/45 Swedish K machine gun, the Port-Said was produced in Egypt during the 1950s after the Egyptian government had acquired the proper tooling and documentation from Sweden. This example was assembled from surplus components on a newly produced receiver by Wilson Arms Co. of Brunswick, GA. The left side of the receiver tube is stamped "WILSON ARMS CO./ BRUNSWICK GA" above the serial number. The rewelded lower assembly bears Farsi characters and a Danish crown proof on the left side, with "PORT-SAID 9mm MADE IN EGYPT" stamped on the right. The barrel shroud bears Farsi numbers above "001348" over the top. Metal components are parkerized, while the frame is mounted with 2-piece smooth wood grips. Additional features include a 3-position flip-up rear sight, post front sight, and a side-folding buttstock. Complete with 1 Swedish 36-round magazine. NFA Registry indicates "WILSON JAMES, JAMES DBA WILSON ARMS CO" in the manufacturer block and "SWEDISH K" in the model block. CONDITION: Very good, with metal components retaining the majority of their parkerized finish, exhibiting mild edge wear and some scattered superficial marks from handling and storage. Very bright bore, exhibiting some mild firing residue and good rifling throughout. The wood grip exhibits a few handling marks but is otherwise fine. A very nice example of an Egyptian Port-Said submachine gun. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER. THIS ITEM IS FULLY TRANSFERABLE ON AN ATF FORM 3 OR 4.
