M-1 Carbine originally manufactured by Plainfield Machine of Dunellen, New Jersey, and subsequently converted into a machine gun. The receiver is stamped "PLAINFIELD MACHINE/ DUNELLEN, N.J./ CAL. 30 M-1" over the chamber, with the serial number stamped within a milled panel on the left, followed by a stamped "WKS EXP 1" towards the rear of the receiver. Inland Division barrel is dated "6-45". Metal components exhibit a matte black enamel finish, with furniture consisting of an M1A1 pattern side-folding wire buttstock. Buttstock is fitted with a 2-cell magazine pouch containing 1 spare 15-round magazine. NFA Registry indicates "FORM 2 REGISTRATION" in the manufacturer block and "M2" in the model block. CONDITION: Excellent, with metal components retaining the vast majority of their black enamel finish, exhibiting some wear and flaking from use, as well as a few scattered superficial marks from handling and storage. Bore is bright, exhibiting scattered spots of pitting and strong rifling throughout. Stock exhibits scattered superficial marks from handling and storage, with several notable dings on the left side from the buttplate. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER. THIS ITEM IS FULLY TRANSFERABLE ON AN ATF FORM 3 OR 4.
