M6 Police manufactured by Police Ordnance Company of Los Angeles, California. The receiver is stamped "INGRAM PATENTS PENDING/ POLICE ORDNANCE COMPANY/ LOS ANGELES, CALIF. U.S.A./ M6 POLICE, CAL. .45 A.C.P." above the extremely low 3-digit serial number "181". The selector is marked "SAFE", "AUTO", and "SEMI". The rear sight is marked "KING/ PAT.1922302". The left side of the buttstock is ink stamped "MS9", with the right side hand-scribed "M.S.". Major metal components are blued, while some smaller components, including the trigger and bolt, are polished in-the-white. The furniture is comprised of wood and resembles that of a Thompson submachine gun. Complete with 1 30-round magazine. NFA Registry lists the manufacturer as "UNKNOWN" and the model as "6". CONDITION: Metal components retain the majority of their blued finish, exhibiting some areas of wear showing through to some gray patina, with some scattered superficial marks from handling and storage present overall. Brilliant mirror bore, exhibiting well-defined rifling throughout. Wood furniture exhibits some mild superficial handling marks and minor impressions but is otherwise fine. A very attractive example of an extremely early production Police Ordnance Company M6 Police submachine gun. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER.
