Lot contains: (A) German WWII Heer M35 double decal helmet marked "xx68" for an illegible maker, in a shell size of 68, with a partilaly visible lot number. Shell exterior retains 55-60% of its original smooth green paint, with heavy wear and damage. Interior retains 60-65% with heavy wear, damage, and freckling. The Heer decal is approximately 75% with damage, chipping and natural wear, and the national color decal is approximately 15% with heavy damage and wear. Original aluminum liner band is present, and the liner is very dark, oiled stained, and dry. A chinstrap with aluminum fittings present, and is very dark. CONDITION: Overall fair to good. (B) Heer M40 helmet marked "NS62" for the maker "Vereinigte Deutsche nickelwerke / Schwerte" in a shell size of "62" with an illegible lot number. Shell exterior has been repainted black many years ago and retains approximately 90% of that repainted finish. Shell interior retains 80-85% of its original rough gray-green paint. No decal can be observed. Original zinc liner band and liner are present with moderate wear and damage. An original full-size chinstrap is attached, but has been broken through near the fitting.
