Originally manufactured by Springfield Armory in May 1942. 24" Springfield barrel dated "6-51" and chambered in .30-06 with protected blade front sight and post-War "IHC" marked aperture rear sight. Springfield "SA" marked cut op rod, bolt, and trigger group components. Walnut stock with encircled "P" firing proof, faint boxed rebuild marking, and standard hardware. Complete with green woven sling. CONDITION: Good. Metal retains the majority of its arsenal-applied parkerized finish with some expected wear in line with martial use. Stock appears lightly sanded with scattered impressions but no signs of major distress. Good bore with well-defined rifling and some light frosting in the grooves. ME reading 3+. TE of 4. Fine mechanics.
