DSP. Maker mark "I. R. 30." C. 1930s Socony Gasoline & Motor Oil double-sided porcelain shield sign. CONDITION: Side 1, has significant porcelain loss throughout the face, with areas of surface staining and surface scratching. Sign has multiple areas of surface scratching and porcelain loss on the outer edge, most notably at the bottom right-hand corner of the blue border. (7.75). Side 2, has significant fade to the color, mostly throughout the red lettering. The sign has areas of porcelain loss and significant surface staining. Sign also has areas of porcelain loss on the outer edges (7.9). Overall, a good displaying example, perfect for any collection.
