DST. Maker mark "AM 656." Very nice displaying c. 1950s Delco Batteries double-sided painted metal sign with excellent early graphic. CONDITION: Side 1, has good color throughout, with minor areas of staining and surface scratching. Sign has multiple areas of touch-up around the outer edge of the piece and along the bottom where it connects to the curb stand. (7.75). Side 2, has fair color throughout, with deep scratching with paint loss in the field, as well as significant surface staining. Sign has been completely touched-up at the base where it connects to the curb stand, and the graphic is completely faded. (7.0). Overall, a nice displaying sign, added to a Pure Oil Company curb stand.
