DSP. Maker mark "1-30." C. 1930s Texaco Gasoline and Motor Oil double-sided porcelain 42" sign. CONDITION: Side 1, has minor fade throughout the color and gloss, with significant areas of surface staining in the field. Sign has areas of porcelain loss both in the inner and outer fields, as well as along the outer edges and at the hanging holes. Sign also has one area of paint overspray above the word "Oil." (7.5). Side 2, has better color and gloss than the previous side, but significantly more rust staining. The sign shows areas of porcelain loss in the inner and outer fields, as well as throughout the outer edges. (7.75). Overall, an excellent example of the earlier black T logo Texaco branded sign.
