DSP. Maker mark "Burdick Chicago." C. 1940s Chevrolet Sales & Service double-sided porcelain sign with excellent bowtie graphic. CONDITION: Side one has noticeable staining throughout 3/4ths of the piece. There are areas of minor surface scratching, as well as a large section of porcelain loss with damage all the way through the metal on the "&" between "Sales" and "Service", as well as a larger chip with damage to the metal under the "E" of "Service." The outer edges of the sign and hanging holes both show significant staining and porcelain loss. (7.5). Side two has more significant staining than the previous side, with minor areas of surface scratching, as well as a large porcelain chip with a hole all the way through in the "S" in "Service." The outer edges of the sign also show significant staining and porcelain loss, most notably at the two hanging holes. (7.0).
