Made at Winchester Repeating Arms Company in April 1945. Parkerized 24" military barrel with correct milled front sight, lock bar military rear sight, and single slot gas plug. Barrel is visibly marked with Winchester proofmark. Standard parkerized action with standard markings, including receiver marked "U.S. RIFLE / CAL 30 M1 / WINCHESTER / 1603262" with "W.R.A." marked bolt, cut op-rod, and milled trigger group. Receiver leg stamped with hard-to-find late war "D28291WIN-13" drawing number. Standard military walnut stock with invisible inspection mark, no encircled "P" re-inspection mark, and correct blued military hardware. Comes in a CMP hard plastic carrying case. CONDITION: 80% original arsenal finish with areas worn to a silvery patina. Action has worn to an honest silvery patina with heavy carry and operating wear. Stock has cleaned surfaces with dings and marks. Good bore with ME of 2+ and TE of 2 and good mechanics. This rifle has all the characteristics of an original World War II used rifle.
