German World War II Luftwaffe M42 single decal helmet marked "ET66" for the maker of "Eisenhüttenwerk Thale / Harz", in the shell size of "66", with a lot number of "2426". Shell retains 70-75% of its rough blue-gray paint, with light freckling throughout, scrapes, and scattered marks. Interior retains approximately 80% of its smooth blue-gray finish, with light freckling and dust/ dirt. Luftwaffe eagle decal is approximately 45%, with wear, damage, and the swastika was scraped off. Original zinc liner band and 3 rivets are undisturbed. Medium tan liner has heavy staining, medium wear, all tongues are present, no visible size stamp, and the name "Jerry La Mere" is written in ink. Unknown if that was done by the US veteran. Original liner drawstring is present. Original chinstrap is maker-marked and dated "1941", with steel fittings, and moderate wear, is attached. CONDITION: Overall very good. WEZ
